How can a building elevate a community?

We find and reveal overlooked potential. We envision new chapters for buildings full of stories and rich with history. We work alongside communities to harness new resources and encourage revitalization. We fuse the public and private, the old and the new, rural and urban, art and economics.

“The PowerPlant and its architectural interventions are in the spirit of the raw creative power of the historic power plant. Human power and innovation will replace coal power to secure our existence for the next 100 years.” - Bjarke Ingels, BIG Architects

We are deeply honored that Annie Leibovitz selected the future home of The Women's Building for her New York exhibition of Women: New Portraits.

When we first conceived of The Women's Building we knew it was a necessity. Now, with the sudden shift in the national dialogue, our work has become ever more important, it’s become a rallying cry. Annie's photos are such a powerful statement in this pivotal moment. We are honored that The Women's Building is a part of this story.
